Maya holds a Master's degree in Human Nutrition, providing her with a solid academic foundation with evidence-based nutritional and weight management treatments strategies. During her time at Columbia, she worked as the Comprehensie Weight Control Clinic where she completed her Master's Thesis.
Physician Experience
Maya is a board eligible medical doctor with specialized training in Psychiatry, enabling her to offer comprehensive mental health care independently in 2027. She is a current 3rd year post-doctoral residency fellow in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York Presbyterian Hospital

The Medical Student Transplant Organ Procurement Program
An experiential and educational program for medical students at NYU. Built the entirety of the research project with the assistance of PI, including research proposal, protocol, IRB submission, RedCap storage, 2- hour e-curriculum, pre-test, post-test, and surveys. Run all daily operations for the study including emails communications, recruitment, consenting, student on- call calendar and operative experience scheduling, administration of all study surveys, data entry and storage, student satisfaction
Abstracts
Clinical Signs Predictive of COVID-19 Mortality Among Transplant Recipients, Transplantation
Built RedCap database storage and data collection. Chart reviewed >300 patients to gather information on all COVID-19 positive patients that had also undergone solid organ transplantation and for analysis of clinical signs predictive of COVID19 mortality among transplant recipients.
